Helping your Downline -- The Key to YOUR Success

In the world of MLM, it can sometimes feel like you are on yourown. After all, it's usually done in the comfort of your ownhome, so you might not get the feeling of community you mightfrom a traditional bricks-and-mortar company.If anything, however, people in MLM companies are MORE dependentupon each other than in any other kind of business. MLMs are aliving embodiment of the phrase, "United we stand, divided wefall." Unless you are only looking for a short-term return onyour investment, you will need to make sure that your downlinesucceeds.How can you do that? It's simple -- give them the tools youyourself used to succeed. This can take many shapes:1) Pass along your sales techniques. If you have had any successwith your recruitment and sales (and if you're worried abouthelping your downline, you must have had SOME success!), then letyour downline see and use your materials. You can even go so faras to prepare a general template that they can use to construct apersonalized sales letter or classified ad.2) Pass along your resources and contacts. Many MLMers havediscovered that the biggest trick to marketing is understandingwhen to let others do the work for them. If you have discovered agood marketing or promotion deal, let your downline know aboutit. The same goes for any other resources (advice, articles,software programs, etc.) that have helped you in the past.3) Pass along your experience. The best gift you can give yourdownline is your knowledge and expertise. After all, you've beenthrough the process -- they haven't. If you can pass along yourexperience and advice to your downline, it will help them avoidany potential problems. This, of course, will make them forevergrateful to you!The most important thing to remember when dealing with yourdownline is this: Their success is YOUR success. By helping themin any way you can, you will not only help build your reputationand credibility -- you will build your profits!
